Walt Disney World |Favorite Place On Earth

my-favorite-place-_-wdw

Disney world is a place where I feel I can get lost in the magic. The last time I was there was 15 years ago. It was very relaxing and fun, I went there with my son Chris who at the time was 11 years old, he is now 27. Since then my life has changed: I got remarried, moved to Pa and I am self-employed. I am trying to convince my husband to take a vacation to Disney. He doesn’t like to fly so we would have to drive. Not sure if I want to do that but we’ll see! This post will consist of things I would like to do there, rides, restaurants, hotels and not to miss rides or shows.

Hotel-  Last time I was at Disney I stayed at the Caribbean Resort. It was very nice but huge. The Caribbean was a moderate resort. I think if I went back I would stay at Port Orleans French Quarter, a moderate resort. I have considered the value resorts to save some money but it seems they are geared to families with young kids. I eventually might stay at a moderate but I can’t see spending that much on somewhere just to sleep. We’ll see!!

Restaurants-  there are a lot of good restaurants at Disney these are just a few I would like to try next time.

In the Magic Kingdom, these are some I will be trying next time. If you’re looking for a hot dog for lunch and a good photo op try Casey’s Corner on Main Street. Be Our Guest restaurant seems to be a good deal for lunch. This restaurant is modeled after The Beauty and the Beast and I really want to try this one! I am a big Nutella lover so you know at snack time I’ll be headed over to the Sleepy Hollow Inn to try the Nutella waffle sandwich with fruit.  Another interesting place for a quick meal would be at Columbia Harbour House or Peco Bill’s.

At Epcot I would try Le Cellier is in the Canadian  Pavilion, Rose and Crown in United Kingdom Pavilion,  Les Halles for breakfast in the France Pavilion,  and Via Napoli for pizza in the Italian Pavilion.

At Hollywood Studios, these are the two restaurants I would like to go to next time:  Hollywood Brown Derby and  50’s Prime Time Cafe. I have also heard good things about different things at Woody’s Lunchbox which is another place I would think about trying out.

At Disney Springs I would like to try the Boathouse Restaurant next time. I have heard it is a good seafood restaurant and then I would go to Sprinkles Bakery or Ghiardelli’s for ice cream for dessert.

Animal Kingdom-  Three of the restaurants at Animal Kingdom that I would like to try are Santu’li Canteen,  Flame Tree BBQ, and Yak and Yeti.

Shows/Rides -

Magic Kingdom -   1. Train on Main Street, 2. Speedway, 3. Tales with Belle, 4. It’s a Small World, 5. Hall of Presidents,  6. Haunted Mansion, 7. Pirates of the Caribbean, 8. Thunder Mountain Railroad and  9. Splash Mountain.

Epcot – 1. Spaceship Earth, 2. Soaring, 3. Test Track, 4. Frozen and 5. The Three Caballeros.

Animal Kingdom – 1. Flight of Passage, 2. Expedition Everest, 3. Navi River Journey, and  4. Finding Nemo Show

Hollywood Studios – 1. Toy Story Mania, 2. Beauty and the Beast  Show, 3.  Frozen Sing a Long, 4. Path of a Jedi,  and 5. Star Wars Fireworks.

Where do you like to stay? What are your favorite restaurants and rides? One of my later posts will have an itinerary with all the new things they have added. Let’s chat about it!! I’d love to hear about it all. Let’s plan our trips together!
