The Loren at Pink Beach – Bermuda’s Latest Hotel

Move over Hamilton Princess, The Loren at Pink Beach is the latest place for jet setters to stay in Bermuda. On an island covered in traditional colonial hotels, it can be hard to find somewhere to relax that doesn’t feel claustrophobic. As the first new hotel to be built on the island in 45 years, The Loren had a lot of expectations to live up to. The hotel has less than 50 rooms which helps gives it a really exclusive vibe and the gorgeous cliff side restaurants have unobstructed views over Bermuda’s signature turquoise water.

Unsurprisingly this hotel isn’t one of the cheaper ones on the island. Rooms can range from $450-$900 a night depending on the season but if you like huge ocean-facing balconies, massive marble bathrooms featuring soaking tubs and rain showers then it’s definitely worth splurging on a stay here.

On our last day in Bermuda we thought we should see what all the hype was about and have Easter Sunday brunch at The Pink Beach Club. The service (which is renowned for being ridiculously slow in Bermuda) was great and our waiter was surprisingly helpful, they had a good selection of wines and a variety of dishes to choose from for each of the three courses. I started with a deliciously creamy caesar salad (although it would have been better with chicken in it!), followed by french toast with a mango chutney (much better than it sounds!) and a decadent chocolate melt-in-the-middle desert with the most amazing rum ice cream.
