London, England, is a stand out place to visit on valentine’s day. the hussle and bussle of the UK’s Capital is even more so on valentine’s day, but i think there is an acceptance on Feburary 14 by the locals. London is a beautiful city any time of the year and staying at the Hotel Cafe Royal is, in my opinon, is one of the perfect places to stay while here for love. The rooms are outstanding. The Service is exemplary. There is nothing you can really complain about, meaning you can relax and enjoy making the day perfect for your other half. London is blessed with some remarkable hotels but the Hampton by Hilton London Docklands is a good balance of price, comfort, and distance away from the Bussle of Central London. The hotel has great links to the heart of london with Docklands’ Light Railway a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Hotel Cafe Royal also is a magnificent place to have an afternoon tea as one of your activities, but if you want to discover places , Regent street is just on the doorstep on the hotel. Known for its luxury shops, you can treat someone to a really special gift. Picardilly circus, Leicester Square and the strand is basically London’s Theatre hub, with some of the best shows known around the world housed there. Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre remains a massive draw and is one of the best shows on the planet. Book your tickets early as seats are very difficult to get. Another honourable mention is the London Eye at waterloo, it does have a special valentine’s day experience and is available to buy closer to the big day.

Amsterdam in the Netherlands, is a gem of a European city. only an hour flight from London, Amsterdam is an ideal choice from some of the more traditional places for valentine’s day. our recommendation for hotel is W Amsterdam, a five-star hotel that sits on the main Dam Square. the rooms are spacious for continental Europe, stylish and Luxurious. XO hotel Blue tower just outside the main city centre is a great alternative, you don’t get the iconic views of Amsterdam-Centrum but it is nice affordable hotel close enough by trams and buses to get into the heart of the city; plus you can spend more on other things.

The charm of the canals and the bike friendly roads will make it a beautiful spot to feel love in. The Rijksmuseum is a great place for culture lovers with vast amounts of artwork on show. A fun alternative is Madame Tussauds Amsterdam; here you can discover some Amsterdam’s biggest figures alongside Hollywood stars all in life like waxworks. when the lights fade and night draws in, any restaurant only any of the canals will be a treat, but i do suggest is the SkyLounge Amsterdam. one of amsterdam secluded places – as it sits on top of the doubletree by hilton, beside centraal station – but the views are spectacular and must for drinks and bites to top the night off.

Flights: British Airways – £166.88 (Economy) / £518.88 (Club Europe)

Accomodation: W Amsterdam ***** – £541 / XO Hotels Blue Tower **** – £101

Paris, ile-de-france est magnifique pour l’amour. The love capital of the world is undoubtably a stable choice for valentine’s day. with that said, it is highly recommended that you stay well away from the attractions of Paris; a view of the Eiffel tower will not add to the spectacular stay you will have in Paris – except for the instagram feed. there are a wrath of beautiful hotels dotted around the city. my favourite is the Molitor Hotel, situated a stones-throw away from Stade des princes and in highly sought after 16th arrondissement (the Kensington & Chelsea of Paris). If the Molitor sits outside your budget, then the Odalys City Paris Montmartre is a great choice. billed as a 4 star hotel, it comes at a great price considering the price hike of hotels in Paris for the time of the year, and has very modern interiors and amenities – almost a rarity in many Parisian hotels and are only coming to the fray.

La tour Eiffel (or the Eiffel Tower to us) is of course a brilliant place to visit, Le louvre and Notre Dame, both obvious choices to visit. but i would recommend visiting some less known attractions. Le Sacré – coeur is a beautiful church that seats on top of of La Butte. with most tourist going to Notre Dame, you might get a chance to see more of this majestic masterpiece with little queues than you would expect. The Palace of versailles is just outside the city of Paris, but it might be the escape you would want. Its beautiful grounds are vast and is a draw to anyone; especially guests looking to propose to their partners to be. it really is a cinderella palace and could be the highlight to anyones trip. Moulin rouge surprisingly isn’t spoken about as much as i wish it should be in today’s society. the famous cabaret show is highly recommended. On a Normal day, there is a dinner and show, i assume it is the same on valentine’s day; it may not be the ‘river on the seine’ candlelight meal (which is again a brilliant choice) but it is memorable and it is unique.

Barcelona, Catalonia, is a city commonly visited in the summer. with temperatures sure to be in the Late 20C at the height of summer, why wouldn’t you? so why visit this spanish jewel in Mid Feburary. Because the sparkle of the city are not limited to the summer months. Barcelona is wonderful. All. Year. Round. The streets are beautful, with cobbled windy streets in the old gothic quarter and wide boulevards that go through the entire city, making an easy point easy to get around the city to explore.

The W hotel Barcelona is one the W hotels most iconic hotels. with its unspoilt views of the medi
